On January 12, I’m moving back to D.C. Yeah, it’s kind of soon, and sudden, but applying for jobs while I am in Palm Desert doesn’t seem to be going too well, and I can’t even apply for most of the D.C.-based positions because they only want local candidates to send in their resumes. Besides, I’d rather be doing anything in D.C., even if it’s just temping, than sitting here in Palm Desert. I’m initially staying in Northern Virginia with Liz and Nick, my friends from college, and I’m really looking forward to getting out there and seeing all of my old friends, many of whom I haven’t seen since my graduation from GW in May 2004.
And, if I remember correctly, the weather during this time of year is excellent:

Hmmm…or not.
Now, does anyone know where the hell I put my SmarTrip card?
Also, coming up soon: a post about a daytrip to LA, and more London photos.

Yay! We get Comrade Lindsay back to the cold, harsh capitol!
From Will:
You’re just a month late to poke Rian… Give me a call once you’re settled.
From AuH2O:
been awhile since i have read your blog. thanx for posting pictures > always awesum! i see you have also run into the single set back of having a poli-sci degree (getting a job). any thought of earning a teacher’s certificate and instructing kids who inhabit the halls of high school? it feels weird to refer to “those young people” who are now high school students as “kids.” it kinda does make you feel old. anyway, think of how impressive a teacher’s job looks on a resume’ 2 – 3 years from now, if the u.s. post office still isn’t hiring lol.
From Lindsay:
Naw, I don’t think I would be a very good teacher, so it’s for the better that I stay away from teaching.
