- Californians, vote no on Proposition 8! I’m no longer registered to vote in my home state of California (voting in Virginia FTW!) but I implore my fellow Californians to vote “no” on Proposition 8 because I love watching the religious right freak out! Ahh but someday you’ll be joining the land of fake cowboys and pickup trucks… won’t you?

Yeah, in like 20 years…lol.

Yeah the Midwest section is so true, and yet so sad at the same time.
From John Novak:
Lauren what are you talking about? I’m so tired of hearing that from Californians! Cleveland is not “religious” seriously. How is Erie, Pennsylvania religious in any way when its filled with crackheads on every corner?
Also how do I live in a “redneck town” when most of my neighborhood is BLACK? Explain that one, please do! Even Erie isn’t small enough to get religious. Cleveland is even less religious, btw. You know we have SKYSCRAPERS in Cleveland, right? I’m tired of explaining this to every Californian I come across! So annoying. You have to get a lot smaller than Erie, PA before you run into “religious” people.
In fact most towns of 30,000 or more are pretty much…not religious? I’d say. Modernized is the word that we’re looking for I believe.
Not ALL Californians are closed minded to the world outside their state. See? Just most.
