Beautiful weather this weekend, so hiking around Great Falls Park in Northern Virginia sounded like a good idea. I had never even heard of this place until a few years ago when a dude from Texas mentioned it.

Oh, I’ve been there many times. From the looks of it, you’re on the VA side. When you have time, be sure to check out the MD side. It has it’s own point of view.
Plus, it’s great to go when the river is high. Did you see that flood pole? I don’t remember the year, sometime in the 80s I think, but I went a few days after they reopened the park. It looked totally different.
