Christmas

Christmas was good this year…had the usual Mexican food last night for Christmas Eve dinner. It’s a Fincher family tradition that we have enchiladas and tacos (usually from Las Casuelas) instead of ham and turkey. I guess that’s what happens when you are surrounded by all these wonderful Mexican restaurants here in the desert. Got some books, DVDs, etc…now I actually have time to read stuff I want to instead of assigned readings.

It’s raining now, but I’d take rain over cold weather and snow any day! I’m sure the sun will be out tomorrow…

New System

Before I left for Moscow in late June, I was going to install Moveable Type. Didn’t happen…so when I got back I said that I would install MT and upload my Moscow pics. Obviously, that didn’t happen either. Now I have all the time in the world, though, and actually got around to replacing that horrible NewsPro posting software. It really sucked…I think the company went out of business or something, too.

Now I just have to work on replacing this horrible default template. Yay, white is such an exciting color!

Done

Finals are over, thank God. Two on Tuesday and two on Thursday. My PSC192 final was interrupted by a fire alarm (seems to be a lot of that happening…hmmm wonder why). We told our prof that we’d rather just sit through the alarm and keep writing in our blue books because it would probably be turned off soon. Five minutes later a guy walked into our classroom and told us the fire marshal said everyone’s gotta get out of the building. We walked outside and there were two firetrucks parked outside the academic center and the firefighters were hooking up the hoses and….no fire in sight! Typical.

I’m still in DC right now…got all my stuff packed up and it’s on its way to CA. Leaving DC on the 21st.

Admit it…

…you listen to WASH 97.1 FM, the home of 24/7 Christmas music.

Marcus does…Tracy does…I know the rest of you do.

And yes, I do.

I am getting a bit sick of the “Christmas Shoes” song, though. I’ve also concluded that there are only four Christmas songs…they’ve just been covered over a trillion times.
