Walkin’ In a Winter Wonderland
Snow. I used to hate it, but now I love it. Thanks to this delightful weather, I’ve been able to enjoy a 5 day weekend. Yes, the Blizzard of ’03 was successful in shutting down not only the federal government, but The George Washington University as well. Laura and I went out and took some pictures of the national mall and monuments, so I’ll have those up in a few months…whenever I decide to drag myself down to the Watergate to drop off the film for developing.

“The People’s Republic of Nueva California is a very large, socially progressive nation, renowned for its burgeoning Republican Eating Bear population. Its compassionate, hard-working population of 85 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and the Environment receiving almost no funds by comparison. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 49%. A large private sector is led by the Book Publishing, Automobile Manufacturing, and Information Technology industries.
Nudity is frowned upon, Animal Liberationists are regularly jailed, scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes, and extreme political groups are outlawed. Crime is relatively low, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Nueva California’s national animal is the Republican Eating Bear, which is also the nation’s favorite main course, and its currency is the Putin.”
